AVOID THE PENALTIES OF
NON-COMPLIANT OIL STORAGE
To protect public health and the environment, the Environmental Agency and Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) have set strict regulations on oil storage. If your generator is connected to an oil supply tank with a capacity of 201 litres or more, it is crucial that you comply with these guidelines. Non-compliance can result in fines or further legal action.
We offer a full site survey to check your adherence to oil storage and OFTEC regulations. After the survey, you will receive a detailed report on your fuel storage and transfer systems, highlighting any areas requiring attention or additional monitoring, such as secondary containment or leak detection.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DOES THIS APPLY TO?
These regulations apply to oil supply tanks with a capacity of 201 litres or more, used for both standby generators and those in daily operation where the full capacity is not consumed within a single day. Unsure if this applies to your setup? Contact CSL Power Systems Ltd to learn more.
PLAYING YOUR PART IN MITIGATING RISKS
Should oil be handled or stored incorrectly, the threat to safety escalates. Oil storage regulations were implemented to avoid this, ensuring these highly flammable, potentially dangerous substances do not cause harm to users or the surrounding environment.
PROTECTING
OUR PLANET
Oil spills can be detrimental to wildlife, vegetation, and water systems. Should your equipment cause a spill, as the operator, you're responsible for managing spills and clean-up costs. Our services help prevent spills and minimise environmental risks.

DOES YOUR FUEL ADHERE TO THE CURRENT EMISSIONS REGULATIONS?
In addition to complying with oil storage regulations, it is essential to ensure that your fuel adheres to current emissions standards. Regular fuel testing is crucial to ensure it remains safe for use and does not harm your equipment or the environment.
For peace of mind, we can collect fuel samples and conduct a full analysis to ensure your fuel complies with emissions regulations. If we detect contaminants or other harmful factors, CSL Power Systems Ltd can provide fuel cleaning services using our advanced fuel polishing machine, ensuring the continued performance and safety of your equipment.
